The Nigerian States Projects Procurement Board (NSPPB) is a fully independent statutory body established to coordinate, regulate, and oversee the procurement of public projects across Nigeria’s 36 states. Our core mandate is to ensure that all state-level government procurements are conducted in line with the Federal Public Procurement Act of 2007, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Act of 2004, and other relevant national and international best practices.
As the central authority for state-level procurement, NSPPB is committed to building a procurement ecosystem rooted in transparency, integrity, accountability, and fairness. From infrastructure and education to health, energy, and technology, we ensure that every public project funded by government resources is executed efficiently, competitively, and for the benefit of the people.
We serve as a vital link between government institutions, contractors, civil society, and development partners. By setting standards and enforcing compliance across the entire procurement lifecycle—from project planning to contract execution—we ensure that public funds are safeguarded and that service delivery meets expected quality benchmarks.
Mandate and Legal Framework NSPPB operates under the authority of the Public Procurement Act (2007) and aligns with relevant provisions in the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Act (2004), empowering it to:
